This hike is one of the most accessible in the southernmost city in the world, with the goal of reaching the stunning Emerald Lagoon. After leaving your hotel, you'll head north for about 20 minutes. Your guide will explain the route through the Lasifashaj Valley, where you'll navigate clearly marked paths, peat bogs, and rocky terrain, before continuing along the Esmeralda River.
Once you reach Laguna Esmeralda, a glacial lake known for its vibrant color from the Ojo del Albino Glacier, you can relax and enjoy a packed lunch while taking in the view. Afterward, you'll return along the familiar path, appreciating the beauty around you one last time before meeting the vehicle that will take you back to Ushuaia.
