Start your snorkeling excursion on a scenic two-hour drive to La Paz and receive a back-door tour of Baja California Sur on this ecological adventure. Then you will hop on a boat that will take you to the swim of your life with these gentle giants of the sea: whale sharks! This is a chance of a lifetime to dive with these spectacular creatures.

Once you've arrived at the water, the expert tour guides will brief you on everything you need to know about sharks in La Paz. After that, you'll be taken a short boat ride to the areas where these magnificent animals are found.

Jump in and snorkel beside these massive yet peaceful fish, and witness the enormity and beauty that nature has to offer. Don’t forget to keep an eye out for dolphins, rays, whales, and other exciting sea life!

Please note: Previous snorkeling experience is recommended and fairly vigorous swimming is required.

Know Before You Go

Participants must be at least 8 years old for our snorkeling with whale sharks tour.
Participants are encouraged to have previous snorkeling experience and possess fairly vigorous swimming skills.
In accordance with maritime regulations, life jackets must be worn at all times.
Guests with respiratory problems, limited mobility, neck or back problems, and expectant mothers may not participate in the activity.
This activity takes place in a protected area with wild sea life, to avoid boat congestion, there may be an extra waiting time before entering the water.
Round-trip transportation is included for guests staying at select hotels who book their tours at least 24 hours in advance.
Please bring swimwear, towels, non-slip shoes, a change of clothes, a light jacket or sweater, biodegradable sunscreen, and money for gratuities, photos, and souvenirs.
