Since 1994, this whale watching experience has introduced travelers to the humpback whales of Banderas Bay aboard specially designed, authorized boats. Expert biologist guides share information about the whales before heading out to sea.
During the excursion, watch for humpbacks breaching, tail slapping, traveling, playing, and interacting with one another. An onboard hydrophone system also allows guests to listen to their songs beneath the surface.
The small-group experience accommodates up to 14 people for a more personal experience. Guests can also learn about ongoing conservation efforts and support the Humpback Whale Research Project through a donation included with the tour. Morning and afternoon departures are available.
