Xochimilco and Coyoacán Tour
Your first stop will be a silver carving workshop where a local family will explain their love for this tradition and art, and you will be able to admire and buy some souvenirs.
Next, you'll go to Coyoacán, whose name in Nahuatl means "place of coyotes." Here, your local guide will give you a brief explanation about the origin and importance of this neighborhood and its surroundings, and you will have time to walk through its streets and if you want, have a light breakfast (on your own).
After this, you'll go on one of the most vibrant tours, where you'll explore the stunning architecture of the National Autonomous University of Mexico, the charming streets of downtown Coyoacán, and the colorful beauty of Xochimilco, "the Place of Flowers." The trip continues to one of Frida Kahlo's favorite places, Xochimilco. Here you will not only obtain information about its origins, dating back to pre-Hispanic times, and you will also enjoy a ride on a trajinera, a traditional boat from the area.
