Enjoy the atmospheric ruins of Xunantunich, starting with a pick-up from your Belize City hotel. Your guide will provide history-rich commentary on the 2.5-hour journey to the Mayan archeological site which includes a hand-cranked ferry ride across the Mopan River to the archeological site for a guided tour. Take photos from El Castillo, a 40-meter (130-foot) temple that overlooks the Guatemalan border.

Then, after you eat lunch, you'll hike through the rainforest to a network of caves and climb into an inflated inner tube. Float into the cavern mouth, leaving only your headlamp to light the way, and embark on a journey through the underground city.
