The Day After Your Wedding

Go To a Movie.

Like weddings in some ways, movies enwrap you in a mystique that is hard to escape immediately following. You may as well dodge “real life” for just one more day, hide out in the dark, cuddle up and buy the largest popcorn you can!

Knock Out Those Thank You Cards

This could include unwrapping all of the gifts on the day after your wedding.  There’s no time like the very next day to jump on those thank you notes. Just think of it as a way to continue the wedding day nostalgia while getting something very important done and out of the way!

Go For a Hike

Depending on where you live, what time of year it is, and just how hungover you might be, a burst of fresh air, the warmth of sunshine and the smell of trees and grass may be just what you need to shake the wedding haze (particularly if it was the kind of party you won’t soon be forgetting).

Host a Casual Family Meal

We know, you just spent an entire day with these people, but having the family over in your home to unwind and recap the experiences of the day before will most definitely help keep that wedding fever alive. Doesn’t have to be fancy—just fun!  This is a great opportunity to spend a little more time with those who traveled to be at your wedding just in case you didn't have enough time at the wedding.  Consider a brunch or a casual dinner.

Do Absolutely Nothing

Odds are you’re exhausted, not to mention partied out. Stay in your PJs, leisurely sip from your favorite coffee mug, pick on snacks all day, do whatever. Just give yourself that much needed post-wedding day rest.
What did we miss?  What do you plan on doing the day after your wedding?
