Participants will learn traditional techniques while wearing a craftsman’s uniform called a samue, gaining hands-on insight into Japan’s philosophy of treasuring objects and honoring their history. Each guest creates a unique piece to take home, combining artistry with cultural understanding.
The workshop is led by Master Taku Nakano, a celebrated ceramist awarded the Medal with Dark Blue Ribbon for his artistic excellence and charitable work. Guided by his expertise, participants explore the aesthetic, philosophical, and practical aspects of kintsugi, leaving with a deeper appreciation for Japanese craftsmanship and a personal masterpiece that embodies resilience and elegance.
