At our surf school in beautiful La Jolla Shores—just 15 minutes north of downtown—you’ll find year-round surf lessons for anyone ages 5 and up. Whether you’re hoping to stand up on a board for the first time or you’re looking to sharpen your wave-riding skills, you’ll be covered. You get to choose the level of participation you’re comfortable with, and your instructor will respect your pace and your confidence in the water.

Your safety comes first, even though having fun riding waves is the heart of the experience. You’ll learn the fundamentals on land—including paddling techniques and how to pop up—before heading into the ocean with an experienced instructor by your side. With over a decade of safely running surf lessons and ocean adventures in La Jolla Shores, we’re ready to share our love of surfing with you, whether you’re a beginner or an intermediate surfer.
