It’s a true topographic mixture of jungles, beaches, and soaring landscape. The avid outdoorsperson will love it here. One of the country’s most gorgeous beaches is actually on this coast: Guachalito Beach consists of unique black sand and is framed by jungle and waterfalls. While the jungles of the Choco region are also not to be missed, especially for those who love biodiversity.

  • Utria National Park

Composed of beaches, jungles and mangroves, this park is a must see when on the Pacific Coast of Colombia. Mountainous and wet (it gets one of the highest rainfall totals in the world) the park also is a great place to get up close to local culture as there are a number of small, very traditional fishing villages intersecting with the park.

  • Gorgona Island

Once a prison island, this has become a paradise for those seeking a true remote, isolated, jungle experience.
