The Big “D,” Dallas is a city with just about everything one could want in a metropolitan area. With many acclaimed museums, thousands of restaurants and shops, and also over 400 parks and miles of biking trails, the city invites visitors to explore both indoors and out.     This is certainly a sport lovers town. With seven major league teams, you can catch just about any kind of game you want. See the Cowboys, the Rangers, Mavericks, Stars and Wings in action. They even have a major league Lacrosse team in the Rattlers.

    A city of parks, there are some incredibly beautiful sites to see within the Dallas city limits. Fair Park, as its name suggests, plays home to the State of Texas Fair, while the area around White Rock Lake has become an incredible popular area to fish, bike, picnic and just explore.

  • Live Music

    Dallas truly does come alive at night. There are tons of live music venues, to include the world-famous House of Blues. For the quintessential music experience in Dallas, head to Deep Ellum. This is where in many ways the Dallas music scene got started. With live music venues that have been around for decades, if not longer, to include the Bomb Factory and Adair’s Saloon, it really is a one-of-a-kind experience.

  • Winters are mild with daily highs near 60 degrees. It is the off-season for tourism.

  • Late spring is generally a good time to visit for warm (but not hot) temps. Daily highs in May are in the mid-80s.

  • Summers are hot and crowded. The daily highs are in the mid to upper 90s.

  • Many locals suggest that fall is the best time to visit Dallas. The Texas State Fair is held in the fall and you can always check out a Cowboys football game.
