  • Buck Island National Monument

Buck Island is one of the many aforementioned small islands which make up the U.S. Virgin Island archipelago. The short boat ride off the coast of Saint Croix will leave you on the natural wonder where hiking and marine activities will keep you busy throughout the day. Be sure to spend some time in the water as this is considered some of the best marine life in the USVI.

  • Cruzan Rum Distillery

It’s pretty difficult, and frankly unwise, to visit any Caribbean destination without drinking a fair share of rum while there; U.S. Virgin Islands are no different and your best option will be the Cruzan Rum Distillery which has been on Saint Croix for about two-hundred years. Check out the quaint and historic distillery for a history lesson and sampling of the tasty spirit.

  • Sandy Point Wildlife Refuge

Established in 1984 the Sandy Point Wildlife Refuge, located on the southwest corner of Saint Croix, was initially intended to be a protected area for the endangered leatherback turtles to nest. Leatherbacks are the largest turtles but, as mentioned, have been on the endangered species list and have proven to be a high mark sighting for avid SCUBA and snorkelers.
