    Perhaps because one of the country’s largest colleges is located here, Columbus really is a city with a lot of beautiful scenery to check out. In other words, there are green spaces galore. Couples and families enjoy just walking along the Scioto Mile. There are so many different trails to explore. Want a bit more activity…Numerous bike paths crisscross Columbus. And it’s highly unlikely that you’ll runout of parks to relax in.

  • Columbus Museum of Art

    Though smaller than the Cleveland Museum of Art, the collection here is notable for just how global it is. Feel like staring at a Monet for the afternoon—this is the place. The great thing about the Columbus Museum of Art is that it also showcases local artists. Then, just step outside and take in the beauty of the sculpture garden.

  • Shopping Local

    Columbus loves its local vendors and proprietors and tends to feature them every chance it gets. Shop the North Market downtown to discover everything from true Columbus BBQ to homegrown fruits and veggies. The numerous local retailers in Columbus offer an abundance of clothing, art, and home goods for the savvy shopper.

  • The Ohio State University

    Among the most famous colleges in the US, The Ohio State University is not only known for its dominating sports teams, but also the various museums and centers open to the public. From the Jack Nicklaus Museum to the Orton Geological Museum, there’s plenty to see. Even just strolling about campus is an adventure in and of itself.

  • Winter

    Columbus' winter is cold, with temperatures ranging from the 20s to 40s Fahrenheit. While snowfall is common, it's usually not excessive. Winter offers a festive atmosphere with holiday lights and decorations throughout the city. Visitors can explore indoor attractions like the Columbus Museum of Art, the Center of Science and Industry (COSI), and the Franklin Park Conservatory. Summer offers opportunities to attend baseball games at Huntington Park to watch the Columbus Clippers, enjoy concerts at the outdoor amphitheater Express Live!, and explore local breweries and food trucks.

    Fall in Columbus is beautiful, with temperatures cooling down to the 50s and 60s Fahrenheit. The foliage in the city's parks and neighborhoods turns into warm autumn colors, creating a picturesque setting. Fall is an excellent time for scenic drives along the Olentangy River Scenic Byway and visiting nearby apple orchards and pumpkin patches.
