If you’re thirsting for some darker brews then Huss is the place to be. Sure, they have some great lighter options like a Kölsch, blonde, and lager, but it’s their darker beers that are most memorable. Try the milk stout, rice pudding porter, or coconut coffee stout. You’ll wish the weather got much cooler in Arizona so you can enjoy these darker styles year-round.
The Shop Beer Co. makes friends easily and because of this they love creating collaboration beers. It’s a fun way to take two brands and turn them into one, concerted brew. At the very least, show some appreciation for Super Anime Pig and its stellar logo.

The taproom proudly houses old school video games and declares that you will never see football on their TVs, unless it’s Tecmo Bowl. Their seasonal beers, or "Boss" beers to defeat, can border on 10% ABV so maybe take a cab here.
Just over ten years old is SanTan which is not only a brewery creating tasty beers, but it’s also a great hangout in the Historic Downtown Chandler where they host engaging events. Such events include Oktoberfest, Burger Week, Father’s Day Brunch, etc. Stop by for some entertainment and a beverage.
In an effort to combine international beer styles with a bit of Arizona flare, Wren House Brewing Co. offers a chill atmosphere for patrons to enjoy beer and company. They have some of the most interesting brews in Arizona from a couple sours that tickle the back of your tongue to an oatmeal stout that will warm you. With a multitude of golf courses in the area it’s appropriate that one of the sours is an Arnold Palmer style beer.
Historic’s beers are so intriguing that you simply have to make a special trip here for a tasting. There’s a Cucumber Blonde Ale as well as what they call an Arizona Lager for your light beer drinking days. But, when looking for something with a little more character there is a Cherry Vanilla Porter and quite a few barrel aged beers including one called “Ryan Goseling” – “Will you take off your shirt...Seriously? It's like you're Photoshopped!”
The Dragoon company founder was brewing beer in his kitchen back in the 90’s. Eventually he would team up with his son and they founded Dragoon Brewing Co. With a few Belgian-style brews you can bet to please your palate here. Of course, we love what they put for “What’s on Tap” on the website right now; number 9, “Nada” which is in the style of “nothin’” and has the following stats: 0% ABV | 0 IBU | 0 SRM. Mmmm.
With a passion to highlight Arizona’s agricultural community, this brewery has capitalized on the array of local ingredients to create memorable brews. One such beer is their Barrel Aged American Presidential Stout, which is a mouthful in name and flavor. This beer uses cacao nibs from Scottsdale local artisan Zak’s Chocolate. We have nothing but salivating respect for Arizona Wilderness Brewing Co. and its delectably audacious brews.
It’s been over 20-years since Four Peaks brewed its first beer and they continue to grow their ambitions. The only Scottish-Style Ale on this list belongs to Four Peaks but that’s not all that makes them stand out. They also tackle flavorful special projects and seasonals such as their Double Pumpkin Porter and Sirius Black, a bourbon barrel-aged Russian imperial stout measuring in at 9.5%. Deliciousness ensues.
