Learn to make authentic sushi in Kyoto with guidance from a master sushi artisan with over 30 years of experience. In this hands-on class, participants create six pieces of nigiri and one hosomaki roll (cut into six pieces) using fresh seafood sourced each morning. The step-by-step instruction ensures that even children and beginners can successfully craft beautiful sushi, which is then enjoyed as a delicious lunch. Dietary restrictions such as allergies or avoiding raw fish can be accommodated with advance notice.
To capture the experience, assistants take 30–50 photos and 5–10 short videos per group, instantly shared via AirDrop for iPhone users or via Google Drive for Android users. The workshop also incorporates sample practice, allowing each step to be rehearsed multiple times before making the final sushi pieces. This approach combines hands-on learning, traditional techniques, and a memorable culinary experience in the heart of Kyoto.
