In many ways, Jacksonville offers visitors the best of both worlds: you get that exciting city scene and with over twenty miles of beaches, you also get active outdoor adventure. Unlike some other Florida destinations that largely center on the theme parks, this northeastern Florida city is a bit more low key but still offers plenty of that urban vibe as well as an aquatic emphasis that makes it so desirable to visitors.

  • Jacksonville's winter is mild and pleasant, with temperatures ranging from the 40s to 60s Fahrenheit. While snow is extremely rare, occasional frost may be seen in the coldest months. Winter offers a comfortable atmosphere for outdoor activities, such as visiting the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens or exploring the city's beautiful parks and nature preserves. The city's waterfront and beaches remain inviting for walks and picnics even during the winter months.

  • Spring in Jacksonville brings warmer temperatures, with highs in the 70s and 80s Fahrenheit. The city starts to bloom with colorful flowers and greenery, making it an ideal time to visit the Jacksonville Arboretum and enjoy outdoor activities at St. Johns Riverwalk. Spring is also a great time to explore nearby Amelia Island for its beautiful beaches and historic charm.
