Create your own kintsugi artwork using authentic lacquer and gold, exploring Japan’s wabi-sabi philosophy.

Details

Experience the ancient Japanese art of kintsugi and transform broken ceramics into golden masterpieces in an immersive workshop led by Master Taku Nakano. Participants will work with vessels handcrafted by the artist, using authentic materials such as natural urushi lacquer and pure gold powder to repair cracks and chips. The process reflects the wabi-sabi philosophy, celebrating the beauty of imperfection and the history of each object, turning flaws into a unique work of art.

Guests will gain a deeper understanding of Japanese cultural values while creating a personalized piece to take home the same day. The workshop blends artistic mastery, cultural insight, and meaningful personal expression into a truly memorable experience. This is a beginner-friendly experience.
