From Mexico City, head to Valle de Bravo, a 'Magical Town' located in Avandaro Lake, west of Mexico City. The lake, surrounded by wooded mountains, is a water sports center. Explore Valle de Bravo and its historic center, famous for its cobblestone streets that line up with well-preserved colonial buildings, such as the 17th-century Church of San Francisco de Asis. The setting here is reminiscent of the northern Italian lakes, with thickly wooded, mist-clad hills and red terracotta roofing used throughout the town.
Take an ATV ride with a local guide to visit two beautiful waterfalls that are 35m and 20m high respectively. Then after a local lunch (optional), go for a private boat ride to do waterskiing or wakeboarding. You choose. Or learn from the boat driver who will instruct you or you can just ride an "air donut" or relax and enjoy the surrounding beauty.
