El Refugio, Inc. is a non-profit organization located in rural Silver City, NM, providing much needed resources avenues for all persons affected by domestic and sexual violence. El Refugio provides emergency shelter services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year. Along with emergency shelter services, El Refugio offers victim advocacy (legal) services, adult and children counseling services, domestic violence offenders treatment and intervention services, and domestic violence education and outreach. The services that El Refugio provides are free of charge. El Refugio is a place where all people may come to learn to create positive relationships, regain dignity, become self-determinate and sustain well-being.
