Girls Inc. of West Contra Costa County (Girls Inc. of WCCC) has served over 6,000 girls of West County for over 40 years. Many of the girls are second and third generation members. Girls Inc. delivers life-changing programs that inspire girls to be strong, smart, and bold. Research-based curricula, delivered by trained professionals, equip girls to achieve academically; lead healthy and physically active lives, manage money; navigate media messages; and discover an interest in science, technology, engineering, and math.There are eight identity programs offered: Economic Literacy, Friendly PEERsuasion, Leadership and Community Action, Media Literacy, Operation SMART, Preventing Adolescent Pregnancy, Project BOLD, Sporting Chance.
