In 2015, Humane Society of Pikes Peak Region (HSPPR) cared for 23,324 animals in the Pikes Peak Region and achieved a Live Release Rate (LRR) of 82.1%. Key to achieving this accomplishment are many life-saving initiatives, including: spay and neuter, adoptions, foster care, medical rehabilitation, humane education and volunteer opportunities.As a 501 (c) (3) tax-exempt organization, donations to Humane Society of Pikes Peak Region are tax-deductible under section 509 (a) (1) and 170 (b)(1)(A)(vi). The organization’s annual percentage for administrative and fundraising expenses, as obtained from the 2014 IRS 990 Form is 12.9%, indicating that for every dollar donated, $0.87 goes directly to our life-saving programs and services!
