Not only does this directly reduce the birth rate of surplus cats, dogs and rabbits, it also helps keep animals in their homes, and out of already overcrowded shelters.The hundreds of callers we assist on our hotlines each month WANT to keep their pets. They WANT to do the right thing. But with soaring vet prices, they need help. Sometimes a referral to a lower cost clinic or municipal program is all it takes, but often a stipend is needed to make the procedure possible.
