An ecotourism destination, this park is just a few minutes outside of the city. Conservation and sustainability were at the forefront of the park’s design. With 54 walkable trails, the park is known as something of a butterfly mecca, not to mention there is also an archeological site within the park limits.

Medellin can get a little rowdier at night. Some of the best dance clubs in the country are located here. El Poblado neighborhood is one of the more popular with visitors. It’s a younger crowd that definitely likes to party.

One of Medellin’s claims to fame is its much-heralded Flower Festival. With a gigantic parade, horses, vintage cars, musical concerts and of course all those flowers, it is a sight to behold. The festival is held every year in August.

The city comes alive with colorful Christmas lights and decorations, and visitors can experience the lively atmosphere during the Feria de las Flores (Flower Festival) in August. Summer is also a great time to explore nearby attractions like Guatapé and El Peñol.

Medellín's fall, from March to May, brings pleasant temperatures and occasional showers. It's a quieter time in the city, making it perfect for travelers seeking a more relaxed experience.
