With 54 walkable trails, the park is known as something of a butterfly mecca, not to mention there is also an archeological site within the park limits.

  • Bars and Nightlife

    Medellin can get a little rowdier at night. Some of the best dance clubs in the country are located here. El Poblado neighborhood is one of the more popular with visitors. It’s a younger crowd that definitely likes to party.

  • The Flower Festival

    One of Medellin’s claims to fame is its much-heralded Flower Festival. With a gigantic parade, horses, vintage cars, musical concerts and of course all those flowers, it is a sight to behold. The festival is held every year in August.

  • Winter

    Medellín's winter season is from June to August. During this time, temperatures are generally mild, with daytime highs in the 70s to low 80s Fahrenheit. It's a popular time for tourists to visit the city, as the weather is comfortable for exploring the various attractions. Visitors can take the Metrocable to get panoramic views of the city, stroll through the beautiful botanical gardens, and enjoy the vibrant nightlife.

  • Spring

    Medellín's spring, from September to November, brings occasional rainfall and slightly warmer temperatures. The city's landscapes become even greener, and the flowers are in full bloom, adding to the city's natural beauty. Spring is an excellent time for cultural experiences, such as visiting the Museum of Antioquia to see works by Fernando Botero or enjoying local festivals and events.

  • Summer

    Medellín's summer season, from December to February, is warm and festive. Daytime temperatures range from the mid-70s to mid-80s Fahrenheit. The city comes alive with colorful Christmas lights and decorations, and visitors can experience the lively atmosphere during the Feria de las Flores (Flower Festival) in August. Summer is also a great time to explore nearby attractions like Guatapé and El Peñol.

    Medellín's fall, from March to May, brings pleasant temperatures and occasional showers. It's a quieter time in the city, making it perfect for travelers seeking a more relaxed experience. Visitors can explore Medellín's street art scene, take a graffiti tour, and enjoy the city's dynamic food scene.
