Captain Zipline describes their experience as "where Indiana Jones meets Spiderman". They have 120 different challenge elements and courses ranging from easy to "near impossible". Makes for a cool part of your summer getaway to Salida or Buena Vista.
Steamboat Zipline Adventures only runs May through October, so make sure to plan accordingly. Their course features six lines that reach speeds up to 40 MPH. They also have two belay systems for slowly floating down the platforms (it beats walking down the stairs).
The Broadmoor is one of Colorado's best getaway destinations. While most Coloradans are familiar with the Broadmoor's reputation for luxury, many people overlook some of the resort's adventure experiences. The course includes 10 lines and a 180-foot rappel.
Who knew that you could find such cool ziplines so close to Denver? Castle Rock Zip Lines has two very cool activities. The first is their classic ziplining. They feature 10 zip lines that cover a mile and a half of courses. The other cool experience is their epic adventure tower, which includes a rappel wall, 75' birds nest, and rappelling.
Royal Gorge Zip Line Tours has a few course options, but the best is their Extreme Zip Line Tour. This year-round experience features 11 lines that span over two miles and reach speeds of 60 MPH.
Top of The Rockies is based near the city of Leadville, but is also the closest zip lining option for most of Summit County. The views are pretty incredible.
Denver Adventures runs ziplines out of Golden, just 30 minutes away from Denver. They claim to have the state's fastest and longest zip lines. They also have one of the highest, as it travels as high as 200 feet above ground.
This is a huge zip line course in Durango, surrounded by insanely stunning scenery. Soaring Tree Top claims to be the longest zip line course in the US. Another cool aspect is that you access the course by taking a ride on a train from the 1800s.
Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park takes the #2 spot for its wide range of thrill rides. They do have a zipline-type of ride (Soaring Eagle Zip Ride), but you also don't want to miss their Giant Canyon Swing.
Cave of the Winds Mountain Park is a very cool blend of nature and amusement park in Manitou Springs. rn Their most extreme attraction is the Terror-Dactyl, which is a one-of-a-kind thrill ride. Adrenaline Junkies are dropped into a 200-foot cliff in Williams Canyon at a speed of nearly 100 miles per hour. This is Colorado's #1 ride for thrill seekers.
