City Tour and Walichu Caves
Explore Punta Walichu's cave paintings and historic sites, ending at the Center of Historical Interpretation!
It begins with a visit to Punta Walichu, an archaeological site located five miles from the town; you can see the traces of the first humans who walked these lands. A walk along the caves will allow you to observe cave paintings (originals and reproductions) as well as an exceptional view of Lake Argentino and the Andes mountains.
The circuit also goes through the main streets of the old town, showing the typical first constructions of the pioneers, as well as the downtown buildings. There will be a visit to the Coastal Walk and the Bahía Redonda, not far from the shore of Argentino Lake, where you can see abundant local birdlife. Your final stop is the Center of Historical Interpretation where you'll be able to explore the most relevant moments of the region
