US Virgin Islands

The U.S. Virgin Islands have a long history incorporating indigenous peoples, the slave trade, pirates, and centuries-old rum. But beyond any of that is the natural beauty which still exists largely intact thanks to significant protections of natural areas. While you can find plenty of relaxation on the islands, this isn’t your typical Caribbean destination.

  • Dozens of Islands

The four primary islands of the U.S. Virgin Islands are exciting enough, but there are over 50 additional cays and islets to discover and explore.

  • Weather

Other than a hurricane about once per decade the weather here is reliably perfect. The temperatures climb just slightly in the summer but are consistent month after month with a relatively arid environment which means while it may rain a couple times per week, there are very few “rainy days.”

  • Nature

With the Virgin Islands National Park, and a variety of ecolodges the locals really embrace the beauty of nature here, leading to a unique feeling of less development in the Caribbean.
