About Death Valley National Park

Death Valley is on the border of California and Nevada. The park is known for it’s harsh (hot and dry) climate and for being the lowest point in North America. While having those low spots throughout much of the park, Telescope Peak is a mountain in the park that reaches an altitude of 11,049 feet. Death Valley is also the hottest and driest place in North America.

    It's getting hot. By May, the average high temp is 101 degrees.

  • Summer

    It's hot as balls. July average high temps are 116 degrees.

  • Fall

    It's less hot but still pretty damn hot until November.
