Long Beach is centrally located to a lot of great activities in southern California. Within an hour’s drive, you can reach Disneyland, Universal Studios, and Santa Monica. Long Beach also has year-round boat service to Catalina.
Winter is the slow season as the weather is a little cooler with highs in the upper-60s (a little too cool for beach days).
Late spring is perfect for catching beach weather while avoiding the crowds.
Summer is the busy time of the year for much of LA and the parks. The weather is nice throughout the year, so you might avoid the crowds and skip summer.
