Many call this the Jewel of the Pacific, and with good reason. The Alegre and Concepcion Hill neighborhoods represent a veritable rainbow of color and culture. Murals line the streets, art is everywhere. While the innovative funiculars (elevators on rail tracks) give visitors easier access to some of the steeper sites.
