The dry season allows for enjoyable outdoor activities and wildlife exploration. Winter is perfect for hiking through the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve, known for its lush vegetation, diverse wildlife, and suspended bridges. Visitors can also go on thrilling zip-line adventures through the forest canopy.

  • Spring in Monteverde, from March to May, brings slightly warmer temperatures with highs in the 70s to mid-80s Fahrenheit. The cloud forests remain enchanting and teeming with life. Spring is ideal for birdwatching, as various bird species are more active during this time. Visitors can spot the elusive resplendent quetzal and a variety of colorful hummingbirds. Spring also offers opportunities to explore the nearby Santa Elena Cloud Forest Reserve and the picturesque Lake Arenal.
