Some of the most picturesque views incorporate the waterfalls found throughout Provo. Hikes through Mount Nebo, Mount Timpanogos and Stewart Falls will reveal truly inspired natural scenes. There are also falls that lead to hot springs. These are extremely popular tourist destinations.
This is the third largest private university in the country, which means it definitely lends Provo that college town feel. The BYU Cougars offer plenty of excitement and action via their 21 NCAA sports teams. Basketball is a huge draw as they have graduated some stellar standouts, including Dallas Mavericks player Kyle Collinsworth.
Winters are cool, and Provo receives about 60 inches of snow. Most people don't stay in Provo for their ski vacations, but there are several great areas within an hour's drive.
Spring is fairly mild. April highs are in the mid-60s. If visiting in May, make sure to plan around BYU graduation.
Summers get hot. The average high temp in July is 94 degrees. Summers are ideal for spending time at Utah Lake.
Fall can be fun time to visit if you plan to attend a BYU football game.
