• Beaches

Some of the best beaches in the world are in Hawaii. From the tourist-centric Waikiki to the black sand beaches of the Big Island to Kauai's Napali Coast, Hawaii's biggest draw are the world-class beaches.

  • The Weather

If you're considering when to go to Hawaii, you really only need to plan around the crowds. The weather is phenomenal and amazingly consistent throughout the year. Honolulu averages high temps of 89 degrees in the warmest month (August), and only eight degrees cooler in December with highs of 81.

  • Awe-Inspiring Beauty

Hawaii is famous for its other-worldly beauty. Many TV shows and movies have been filmed in Hawaii, including Gilligan's Island, Avatar, Jurassic Park, and (of course) Baywatch.

  • Climate and Bio Diversity

Hawaii is home to 10 of the world's 14 types of climate. The islands don't cover much land area, but they get an amazing diversity of weather patterns. Certain parts of the islands only receive about 10 inches of annual rainfall, while other parts get 400 inches. The highest peaks even get snow.

  • Culture

Hawaiian culture is a fusion of east and west. The Hawaiian people celebrate their rich culture through luaus, traditions, and museums.

  • The People

The Hawaiian people are wonderfully welcoming. The biggest industry is tourism, and the Hawaiian people contribute by being friendly to visitors.

  • Volcanoes

Hawaii was (and continues to be) created by five volcanoes that produced the islands. Three of the volcanoes are still active, including Kilauea, which is a major attraction.
