Trekking and Coastal Whale Watching
The El Doradillo Protected Natural Area is a coastal gem, where whale watching from the beach takes place at high tide, transforming the waters into a magical setting.
El Doradillo is a sanctuary for Patagonian wildlife, home to guanacos, rheas, foxes, seabirds, and more! From June to October, the Southern Right Whale takes center stage, coming close to shore for one of the best land-based whale-watching experiences in the world.
The coastal viewing points offer stunning views of this natural wonder. Each year, mother whales and their calves choose these calm, deep waters, protected by steep slopes, making it an ideal spot to observe them up close.
Take a gentle trek along cliffside trails with expert guides, connecting with the unique environment. Departures are scheduled around tides for optimal sightings, with two options:
Morning: Enjoy a picnic by the sea, surrounded by stunning landscapes.
Afternoon: Savor a snack as you take in the natural spectacle before you.
