Cruise through the Beagle Channel and Penguin Islands
Begin your navigation from the Tourist Pier toward the heart of the Beagle Channel, enjoying panoramic views of Ushuaia's coastline. As you move away, you spot key landmarks, including the Maritime Museum (former prison), the Museum of the End of the World, the industrial area, and the Olivia and Cinco Hermanos mountains. Sailing southwest, approach Los Lobos Island to observe sea lions in their natural habitat, and continue to Los Pájaros Island, home to Magellanic and Imperial cormorants. The journey leads you to the iconic Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse, where remnants of the Monte Cervantes shipwreck from 1930 can still be seen.
Following the southern coast of Isla Grande de Tierra del Fuego, you pass Estancia Remolino and the stranded Monte Sarmiento ship. Crossing the Beagle Channel, you view Gable Island and the Puerto Williams Naval Base on Navarino Island, Chile. Arriving at Isla Martillo, marvel at the colony of Magellanic penguins, watching them swim beneath the catamaran and resurface with curious charm—a sight perfect for photography. On your return to the Tourist Pier, spot the Túnel and Fique ranches along the way.
