One of the first stops on this 4x4 and hiking adventure is "La Cabonera". Here you will enjoy an unbelievable view of the largest Wax Palm Forrest you will ever see and you'll pause for a coffee and a sandwich. Another stop is Toche, simply a classic Colombian mountain town. Make sure to bring a jacket--it can get chilly!
The climb to Cerro Machin is a fantastic experience, and not for the light-hearted. "Cerro de Machin" is a magnificent volcano, which is the destination of this wonderful expedition. Here you'll be hiking through some rugged landscape for approximately an hour and a half.
Then, you'll head back to Toche, a great place for a meal. You'll also discover natural jacuzzis that will be perfect for resting your body for about an hour before making the ride back home.
